Hello! I know it has been pretty quiet here on my Tumblr lately. Other than playing a handful of shows and blogging, over the past few months I have been hard at work on music for a new project called “Montclaire.” It’s a fresher sound and I am exploring collaborating and working with new musicians. Montclaire is still relatively a solo project. Still same old me…but a new name. There are also about 7 other “Sabrina’s” out there making music and this new name also helps you all find me easier! Woo hoo!
I’ll still be posting here once and a while, especially for my Hawaii-based projects, and continuing to support Alternative HI, but you can keep track of the latest in my music at http://montclairemusic.com.

Very excited to be a part of this compilation of artists from Hawaii. I will have a new track on the album called “Overrated Town.” It is actually one of the first songs I ever wrote. The CD will be released on Mountain Apple Company March 20! In the meantime, check out the website!
Well, it’s been a very relaxing 6-month break that I have taken but it’s a new year and exciting things are on the horizon! Stay tuned for the release of the Alternative-HI compilation, coming out in the next few months via Mountain Apple Records. I’ve got a new track on the compilation along with 16 other amazing bands.
Joining the Nate Ashley Band for a few shows this year. And…heading into the studio in a couple of weeks to work on a new recording project. <—stay tuned for that last one…it’s pretty exciting.

Got to see a solo show of Jeff Tweedy last night and he played this song. As soon as I heard it I thought “I totally forgot that I had a covers recording of it!” I may have posted about this awhile ago and never followed-up with the track. #badsabrina
Anyway, enjoy little practice session recording of Wilco’s “You and I” from early 2010 with my friend Mike Pooley (Pink Mist) on lead. We called ourselves “Her and He” just to be kooky. We’re no Tweedy and Feist, but damn we tried. ;)

Last night’s show at Jazz Minds was tons of fun. Thanks to Johnny Helm, Wait for It and Sing the Body for being a part of the evening. Headed to the Hoku’s this Sunday to show some love for music from Hawaii then I’m going into hibernation a bit to get working on a new recording project. I’ll be sure to keep you posted on any gigs that come up along the way. Just letting you know if it is quiet on here…it’s cause I’m in the workshop. xx Sabrina
Just got back to Honolulu yesterday and I’m enjoying the sunshine and good food! I’ll be playing a couple of shows this week. Here’s the first one on the list. Tomorrow night, May 24 at Thirtynine Hotel in Chinatown, 9pm. Hope to see you there! It’s going to be fun!
